can anybody local to halifax recomend a good gaurage to do my timming belt? i dont know when it was last done and daren't drive the bus..

are you sure it has one, was under impression 3.0 developed from 2.7
so would be either chain or gear driven???

If its the ZD30 engine then it is a chain.

Its a chain as has been said....and most of them are good for 200k miles or more, unless its rattling??

well then chaps its a belt.. i looked on milners and bought the parts yesterday and today i got to work early and was reading through the paperwork and found a recept for it done last year....

yep i should have remembered, as were dicussing 2.8 in another thread.

can you put the 2.8 somewhere either in siggy or vehicle description
where you have already put y61 under avator section please, will then
help future id.

Genuine nissan belt is just over £40.
Don't normally need to change the idlers on these engines unless the bearings are shot and you will know if they are as you will hear it.

Easy job to change timing belt on these engines. The hardest part is getting the 4 fanbelts off:lol and the crank pulley as its huge
