Wonder if anyone could help with this.
My brother has a 2002 Xtrail XE 2.2 Deisel which is belting out black smoke and will only run at 10mph. On taking it into Nissan they said it was the maf sensor which they replaced at a staggering £500 it dident make any difference. Had a air leak fixed that and they said that contributed to messing up the injectors, had a new set of injecters fitted and was ok for about 200 miles then same thing happend and had to be towed home belting out black smoke will only run at 10mph. He brought it from new got about 70k on the clock never been off road and now he is tearing his hair out and is at a loss as what could be wrong. Nissan said they would need the car in for around 10 hrs to diagnose the problem but at £70 an hour looking at a £700 bill just to find out what wrong.
If any one has got any idea what could be wrong I would be grateful
