I have found an crashed x-trail columbia in the breakers, which has the sat nav system in.
Is it possible to fit it to my dci sport?, will the wiring be already in my car for it? and would it be a big job?
looking to fit this as my 6cd multichanger in the dash is playing up.
Thanks

pretty sure u can ive seen it asked on navara forum but its down for upgrade at mo so cant check for you!

Hi dubburke, why not phone your local Nissan dealer and ask..nothing to loose!!

There's a shock!!!  would have thought they would have known, with the X Trail still on the sales range.
You get a price from the scrappy?,if not extortionate, just give it a go.
If it don't fit you could always sell it on E-Bay

Wifey has just bought a 2006 Columbia, I've got a feeling that the wiring harness may be different - she had a bluetooth handsfree installed, that needed a different wiring loom to cope with the sat nav.

I suppose if the price is right from the breakers you could get the unit, DVD drive and as much of the associated wiring inbetween. I'm sure if you couldn;t fit it, you'd be able to sell it on ebay for more than you payed for it! Probably Nissan couldn't help because they wouldn;t probably deal with it as an aftersales fitment, and quite probably if the satnav has a problem they will subcontract the work anyway.
