:lol:lol

Think your self lucky... I sold a item on a UK ONLY AUCTION and the winning bidder lived in Vienna Austria, oh well me thinks, after 3 wks I have finally had payment sent to me yesterday recorded delivery 9 euros yes euros not sterling this was after this numpty had NO PAYPAL account then said he wanted my bank acc no and sort code to pay direct, would not send a personal cheque and said if I wanted to contact him could I telephone him direct to his MOBILE, so today I went and spent £3.50 UK STERLING YES £££££ not his EUROS to send his item PROFIT IS NOW -£7.55 YES A MINUS SITUATION....and what do I do with the EUROS well theyll sit in the holiday pot till next year and at the rate the Euros going I could be putting 2 euros to his 9 to buy a cafe au lait svp lol... Wonderful dont you think... Tell this up his own ar*e geezer that youve just been let out of prison in the last month for murder and the reason for the delay is that you had to go and see your parole officer who thought you may of been a naughty lad and broke your bail conditions and to avoid any further delay you will "pop around" and deliver the item in person..... That shud keep him quiet for a few days :lol:lol :lol:lol

i had a sale like that once, wanted to send euroes frm belgium, he didn't realise we didn't use them over here. I rounded his price up considerably to the next 'note' to avoid erous in change and he just paid up no problems and apologised for the mistake. so they aren't all bad

He probably would, when did you post it?

Must be honest I expect things posted out promptly (not saying yours wasnt) . Battery charger from china arrived this morning , bought late on the 17/5, top service that :clap

Kitchen item bough week gone sunday evening arrived free 2nd class postage on the Tuesday :clap

Loads of good service lately, too many to list, maybe yours has got delayed in the post and he never thought to ask :doh

like the Bulgarian who brought an adidas shirt from me and 4 days later decided to opt out from flea bay NO SALE AGAIN oh no they all arnt bad and dont forget the norwegian who said his item was lost and then 2 mnths later said hed moved house and forgot to tell the equivalent of the post office that hed moved...
you are missing the point this was a UK AUCTION ONLY ask yourself why I had listed it like that, the answer is to try and avoid this sort of thing from happening..The bloke whos hasseling darwin IS TYPICAL of flea bay customers they think you are at THEIR beck and call 24-7 and that you can drive and find a post office open on a sunday.. again ANOTHER ONE comes to mind LOCAL COLLECTION ONLY sell a landy seat in stafforshire and the winner lives in High Wycombe Local oh yeah.... 4 WKS LATER AND i STILL HAVE THE SEAT Its a joke when you are trying to be fair to these people they are PRIZE PRI*KS

another one!

I sold big chunk of old oak for £90 collection only the buyer lived in devon, he apoligised and sent a check and then never got in touch again! after 6 months i re sold it for £70!

Youve lost me, who is :nenau

Illiterate, yes

Rude, almost certainly

Reasonably expect something delivered within a week ? definitely, needn't necessarily be Darwins fault so really ths complainer needs to decide where to aim.

No ones perfect and what goes around comes around with regards to not paying up, cheques always in the post, I'll paypal it to you once the moneys arrived form mr x.

I personally never forget who's pissed me around with things like that :thumb2

Good one :thumb2 I sold some mini discs (remember them?) to a woman a bit back. She started whinging they hadnt arrived after a few days. Cut a long story short they were eventually returned to me as person at addr failed to collect/accept delivery the local postie had actually made several attempts and left more than one card. I sent her a scan of the label with all the dates on and the cheeky mare said not her problem when would I be posting them back out again......at my expense.

Still got them somewhere :D:D:D:D

Daved, I was refering to plank missing the point as I listed the item on a UK SALE ONLY auction and the buyer was in vienna, unless the new coalition have secretly changed the borders the vienna ISNT in the UK lol as for delivery times I agree if you keep up with ebay sales and mark the item as despatched WHEN you despatch it then the customer should know whats happening but I have had people sending me vile messages saying "have you posted item yet shithead " and if they had looked properly they would of seen that the item had been allready depatched sometimes 2 days earlier... I to agree that cheques in the post etc etc etc goes on in life BUT when you are trying to be fair then it really pisses me off that people think you are green and that as a customer they have the upper hand when in fact ebay clearly states that it a 2 way agreement, maybe its just that I attract all the dick*eads I dont know but it has become harder as people seem to have a shit day and then try and take it out on whoever they think will be a target for abuse.. Oh how nice a perfect society would be I hear you say, well here hopeing eh

with you, i follow :thumb2

Dont rely on the Vienna not Uk with some sellers. I remember telling someone in a conversation that I'd been to Laarbruch, but couldnt pronounce the name of the street where Id stayed. She agreed that some names of places in Devon and Cornwall were tricky :doh:doh:lol:lol:lol

wow, the persons reaction appears over the top. You get illiteracy, you get threats, you get random words put together and all in CAPS. awesome.

I had one a month back, guy bought a caravan sink plus taps off me for soemthing like £2.50, collection only. He lived in London. His first communication wth me was for me to bag it up, and post it to him as "hes not coming all the way to Huddersfield for a sink", even though my ad couldnt have been clearer. I told him, in no uncertain terms, that he shouldnt have bid for it, and if he wants it, first he has to pay, then arrange for a courier to come, pack it for him and deliver to him at his expense. this took a while, and he wass a right arse all the way through the process. in the end, courier came, wouldnt pack up. he complained, said courier said my sink was"in bits on the floor" even though they didnt come in my house, and i literally shoved it in their face to see. complained to ebay, got it all sorted and left the guy a "positive" negative. idiot.

If an ebay threatened me with "dont think i wont come to your house", i'd call their bluff 100% and if they did turn up, knock the **** out.

we make 200-300 sales a month on ebay alone , always have people that think they can try it on.

have prob 10 people a month who ''demand a refund'' for stuff purchased , we refund on return of goods and prob only 1 per month actually bother to return the goods.

being a ex doorman , threats dont really bother me , no one has ever turned up yet or if they have they have questioned their decision when thay see all 18 stone of me.

do they get money back through pay pal, how does that work with you? i think its pretty bad that pay pal can just refund whilst an "investigation" is in progress...
