Finally fabricated a spare wheel bracket but its only cable tied as I dont have the correct bolts yet , need some stainless bolts , some tweaking and some Yellow hamerite (or powder coating)

one small issue is I forgot nylon washers would compress , so now I have a non working wiper until I pick up some M12 stainless washers.

yep it is.

looks even better up close..

Mrs ZIppy, could JUST get up into it... ours has no lift and side steps.

Looks good mate:thumbs
When I did mine I found quite a lot of door shake when you close it. So make sure it's well adjusted cause the extra weight of the bigger wheel will heave on the dor a bit. You need to close it more carefully too otherwise in a month or two you'll find creases in the panel where the wheel has rattled just after you close the door. It'll show around the handle area:eek:
I had the same wiper issue but a judicial wallop sorted that:lol
Good job mate, now go and some mud on it:cool:

Later on I will post a template for the bracket.

£16 for the 5.5mm Check Plate Aluminium
£2 for the Nylon Washers (stops rattles and gives some free play)

Stainless Bolts / Washers / Nuts would prob have been £10 but I picked them for nowt.

Next one to look at is the Fuel Tank Guard as the vehicle has no tow bar now.

Nice 4B M8 :bow

Only thing i would do to it is de badge it :sly :thumbs

Neat idea for the spare :clap

As mines turning more into a full-time road legal off roader  :naughty the spare gets strapped down inside :D

suspect as go to heavier tyres best place is in car and less strain
on door and its hinges etc.

what do the 265s equate to in height on the truck please.

my trol has 265/70s but the choice of tread is quite limited
compared to /75 profile so toying with the change when
ready to renew. plus muds would be bit taller i suspect when
new in a given size.

truck is hot btw, almost heading to bluebull territory which i see
has just sold on ebay for £2500 going slightly of thread.

talking of streain on the back door, I drove down the road with my back door still wide open today!

Yes i'm a pillock and it can't be good for the hinges :doh
