Hi all - here's a challenging plea for help..

Manual 2.7 TD 1995 Terrano, on 31 x 10.5 x 15s M+S , when changing gear or going off the power (eg take my foot of the accelerator suddenly) lurches to one side and then settles. To try and cure this I've changed rear axle bushes, anti roll, both front wheel bearings, reconditioned steering box and checked all suspension components. Yesterday I went into my local garage's pit with a mechanic and a pry bar and we prodded and pulled at all we could see, but it's all tight. Am I missing something please, like the tyres suddenly developing tread block movement or something in the diff I should check?

My TD has been to the moon and back (177k) but was tight as a drum. Tyre pressures are 30 front and 28 back.

Thanks!

engine mount ?

after a drive feel the front auto hubs is one warmer than the other ?

do same with discs on front . .. careful though these will be very hot ?

does it always pull to the same side ? if not could be front diff oil

all easy jobs and you should be able to report back pretty quick . cos its a gorgeous day today..

also what part of south east are you , im in eastbourne most week days , i could look if your nearby

Engine mount is a good call, and my auto hubs probably need a good looking over anyway...
Right - time to get greasy!
