having been threatened by the little nazi in the local garage that wifeys truck would be 'instantly failed' because of a windscreen crack, I dug out the attached link which might be useful....

Doesn't mention cracks specifically but in the Windscreen section it talks about damage within Zone A etc..
This crack is about four inches long, several months old and not growing, and is located right at the extreme bottom left hand corner (nearside) of the screen - anyone any experience of being failed on such a thing?
Trouble is if it does, I need to get the bulkhead sorted below (which has rusted, causing the glass to expand) and then might have to fork out £200-300 for a new screen if I can't browbeat Autoglass into doing it as an insurance jobbie...
And yes I know I should do it, but the truck is in semi-retirement and used as dog transport!
