wiring diagram

Hi everyone!

I know this is a long shot but does anyone have a wiring diagram for the 2.7td engine? Basically i need to sort my alternator wiring out as my alternator isnt charging my battery properly.

i thought my alternator was duff so bought a brand new one and still have the same issue.

Is this a common fault??

first question does the alternator light on the dash illuminate with ignition on? Rick

Well, if the excitation light if going out, the alternator should be fine, have you cheaked the battery with a multimeter when the engine is running? If its measuring 13 to about 14 5 volts, that's all good, but if the voltage changed a lot when revved, there's a problem with the voltege regulator on the back of the alternator

Right ill hopefully get chance to check this weekend. if theres a problem with regulator can you just buy them? Or is it new alternator time?
