Wipers

Hi there got a problem, front wipers a going all the time. I suspect the switch as I don't think they go through a relay. They will change speed but will not park, they just keep going. It's a M reg maverick, any thoughts would be helpful.

not sure. remove the steering cover and check the stalk, might have some crap in the switch..

In the wiper motor, there is a switch that keeps the live turned on to the wiper even when you turn them off at the steering column stalk switch, which allows them to carry on until they get to the park position.

I would suspect this switch has stuck in, so is not popping out when it should.

Are you sure they don't have a relay? theres a lot of current to go through the wiper stalk switch surely?

relays are on drivers side under the bonnet, take lid off and give a good spray of wd40, it can get damp in there and causes the wipers to stay on

Thank for your help, gone through it all turns out its the relay trying to get one off confab. New to this I am having difficulty. He has the part just have to get it .
