No luck finding a replacement wing so here we go DIY style. Too much rot to use the quick option of Tiger Seal, so welding new metal is the only secure way to go.

First the rot is removed and new horizontal metal tacked in place.

Next the hole is bridged with vertical plates

Now all welded and ground down, filler is added ready for shaping and painting.

I just cut it off :lol Makes more room for big tyres too :cool:

Came across a mint condition replacement wing this weekend for a just a drink, shame it's not chianti red but needless to say that will now be going on the mav instead.

Just think of the weight saving wiv a proper wing, insted of 5Kg of filler.
I think that's why all the young uns cars are so low, not that they've been lowered.
They're just full of filler to fill in the boot handle so you can't open the boot (or doors).

I had the same prob on the troll, i managed to graft on some LR plastic wings. just about
to go through the second MOT next month. Long term temporary repair!!!!
