windscreen wipers adjustment

any pointers on how to adjust the front wipers so they don't bump down hard where they normally rest with each return wipe ?

it's a bit annoying when driving in our glorious summers here in Wales to hear the bump, bump, bump, it never used to but I have no idea how to bring them back to where they should be ....

theres no real way of adjusting the stroke of the wipe as such, but you could try unbolting the arm and moving it up one notch on the spline, but this may put the wipers too far the other way and they will bang on the window rubbers on the A pillar like mine did
