Just had new windsreen fitted autoclass good guy, but he said if screws down side trim rusty he would not do, 4 screws each side holding a small cover trim all the water run down, and yes only got 3 out I said can I grind a grove for flat head ok .the screws go in to a plastic plug, job done and found new screws in garage.

PS Not rusted in just heads on scews rottern. I bet grips would still shift so if you get a funny fitter he could refuse so have a look before they arrive :clap:clap:clap

Brian, do you mind me asking how much they charged and does it have the shaded section at top of screen?

Cheers

No problem

No problem £75 on insurance no claim safe.

But I asked a question at local screen company. Bradford car glass 14 Dryden Street, Bradford, BD1 5ND £120 fully fitted

Yes all shaded clip on mirrow looks same.

Thanks Brian, just be aware when you renew insurance that the windscreen will now probably be classed as a claim. I once fell foul of that after a stone chip repair.

No problem thats why ask the question at local fitters at only 120 was going to have it done with out going with insurence but my wife booked we have full no claims but always a blocker or reason

thanks

wow could be a bad job if screws completly gone and autoglass wont risk damaging the trim.

Thanks
