ah bin ya all

noticed on sat when the missus put her electric window up it came up really slow :?

goes down fine but when it comes up the window seems to drop a little one side,so its not coming up inline its on the squiff.

are these mechanisims prone to bending

hi ya chumba, I had the same problem on my LHD T2 ended up having to remove the interior panel and just lube all the working bits and then had to live with it works better when it's raining tho 8) can't say I found a solution just give it a good squirt with a silicone spray

thanks mav sorry

must remember search then post search then post -banghead-

No probs Chumba.

I just remembered Theduck on about it a short while ago and someone saying not to use WD40, it dont hurt to bring it up again as lots of new members since last time.

Not sure about your window guides distorting, surely not, quality motors like these!.

Mav.

no all runners fine

door panel off,job for the weekend if it stops pesisting down  rain

Try squirt8ing some silicon spray in the runners. If you've not got any "Back to Black" type products are virtu8ally 100% silicon or use cheap furniture polish as again they nearly all silicon, the better ones have wax in these probably won't be so good.

Hi Guys can we keep these topics in the right forum please.
Moved from "General"

Hi chumba
Whilst you have the door panel off check all the rubbers in the window runners, My driver side rubbers are all perished inside the door causing the same problems your having.

I know someone close by who has a sripped mav on the shef! panels engine and all i think, if it comes to it i can find out if he still has any bits! i know dan had the drivers side window regulator, but as far as i know the other side is still available.
