yes that is each:thumb2 the good thing about me working for an engineering company is that normally all I have to cover is the material cost.
winch was £180 and everything else was sourced through work at next to nothing.
the tray and brackets where made from off cuts which would usually get scrapped off.
I also didn't want to spend a fortune on something that might not get used much but wanted the peace of mind that its there if I should need it.
just been looking at winch covers on ebay to try and keep the elements at bay while not in use.

Started to make the inner frame for what's left of the plastic bumper today:thumb2

Decided to put a couple of infill plates each side.

Well it looks very well made and is a very clever idea but I have to say Id rather see a full plastic bumper.

Was originally just going to cut the centre bit out and keep the full plastic skin but I got carried away with the angle grinder :lol:lol
Already started to draw up a full winch bumper for a winter project.

The infill's look great & give it a more pro finish:thumbs

Cheers guys:thumb2
Will hopefully get it all powdercoated and fitted this week.

Can I ask, when you get this powder coated, do you have to remove the other powder coat from the MK1 bit, or do you just go over it?

The tray is staying on as is.the bumper frame bolts to that so that is all that will be needing a shot blast and powder coating.
Can apply powder over already powdercoated parts but have to be rubbed down to give a key.
Only good for 2 coats as the powder uses static to hold it to the panel until it is cured so you have a re coat setting on the gun that drops the voltage so you don't get a reaction.

finally got the bumper frame and infills painted and fitted:thumb2

tidied up the trimming on the bumper aswell.

Fair play mate that's a cracking job , well done :clap
Top tip, spray the inside of your winch bad with a maintenance spray (not wd40 ) to keep the cable etc nice and clean. Winter road salt and sh1te gets in there and will fiz up the wire etc.
Top skills :D

have got some of that triple qx maintenance spray which I used to lather the quad bike in for winter use.
will give it a squirt with that.:thumb2
just looking at the pics I think the front of the tray is a bit exposed so on with a plate to blank it in a bit.
it never ends:lol:lol

Have toyed with doing the bumper black as it is in need of a bit of paint.
Pete....you know that photo shop thing you did with banshee's wheels :lol
Already On with getting some prices for a run of 5 winch trays. Trying to make them so you can have the choice of full bumper or cut bumper with infills.
Will be a one piece assembly With the mounting brackets welded on instead of bolted on like mine.
Hoping to get the prototype fabricated over the next few weeks.

Is the Mk2 version going to have a full metal plate as high as the fairlead?
