the big problem I see with this is the winch wheel/winch speed is slower than road speed, (by virtue of the smaller diameter) so if the other wheels grip for a while the cable is going to go very slack with the real possibility of fowling up, Rick

very interestring, i tried to look on the website but it didn't seem to work. I supose the only retraints are cost and availability of nuts to suit different thread pitches and wheels.

it certanly looks good though, a halfway house between a tirfor and a mounted winch :thumb2

Haha! 'Even a woman can do it!' love it :)

Land rover used to sell these on the old series vehicles, pretty much the same but the drum was a capstan drum so you needed someone to tension the rope but you could control recovery speed etc....

Nice find mate.

what problems could be caused because of the diff? If the other tyre is in the air or in really boggy ground surely it won't work.

Seems to work though.

would only work well with a lockable diff, limited slip like on T2 would be bad for the diff, Rick

Not going to get 1 was just you tubing :augie :lol

If I had 1 & was using it on me Mav I think I'd only use it on the front wheels :thumbs

A hub would be an easy & cheap fix :thumbs

you do get two though so one either side should elievete some of the diff worries, whats the conversion rate on ausie dollar at mo lol

About £500's

Ya can get a decent bumper winch for that sort of dosh :thumbs
