I was an apprentice along with a guy who had a 2.3hs Chevette as his second ever car.

Christ that thing was rapid, I can only imagine how fast yours was.

I didn't get chance to finish the Chevette with the S2000 lump in it (long story) but it was fast when I had the 2.0 16V Retop in it, it liked playing with Impreza's on track days.
The S2000 engine had been on the dyno and was 260bhp which is probably about 30bhp over the works cars of the day.

It was an F20 engine out of the S2000 which spins the correct direction I think the engine you mentioned is from front wheel drive car and spins the wrong way.(A Honda thing apparently)

I'm digging that front bumper it looks well factory spec. :thumbs
