Contrary to popular opinion there is no difference, they are both start batteries, Rick

If cost is not an issue due to lower discharge rate when not in use I would fit a AGM battery otherwise I would use a normal battery using the later calcium technology. Brand is really personal choice I have a Yuasa in one Jeep and the one the two vehicles we use less are AGM ones by Hankook.

I’ve heard that higher cca batteries are better for winches as it gives you more power at the start when you start winching something [emoji848]

Unless you're wanting a backup start battery I wouldn't worry about cca as unless you absolutely have to you shouldn't use the winch without the engine running :nenau

I always have the hand throttle set (gotta love an old Trol :D) when I'm winching to give the alternator a chance to match the winch draw.
