Well cheapest I can find really is around 35-40 quid each and I can get Monroes for that from a place in Kenilworth near work so I'll just hold out until I'm back and get them when I'm back at work next week.

Mark was going to do me a set at a very good price on a set on a truck he was breaking but he couldn't get them off

If anyone else has a spare set from a truck they are breaking I'd have them as a stop gap just to come laning

Maybe I'll meet some of you guys another time :thumb2

Don't be daft, if the worst came to the worst and you had no shock you can always jump in someones truck

Don't really want to come all that way further from Scotland with a dodgy shock to then drive back with a dodgy shock still and not even be able to take my own car out

Right so Rick may have a set of shocks so if he finds them in the morn I'll be coming along which just leaves the group situation.

If we can split into 3 groups I'd be up for that and more than happy/competent to lead a group with comms, I have digital OS maps on my Toughbook and have lead before.

Didn't I read further up that somone has dropped out due to a dead engine so that means theres a space spare anyway doesn't there?

I take it 10am start on Sunda. Bring food. Drinks. A few tools. I'm gonna bring some spare belts. Towing strops. Gallon of water. Mainly for washer bottle as mines the size of mouses bladder. Trolley jack. Good selection of tools. So fingers crossed cover most minor troubles
