My LWB T2 is 2001 on a Y plate. Will the front wings off a 2004 T2 fit? I know that the wing repeater light is oval on the 2002/3/4 onwards and mine is the square type.

So will the wings bolt on the same?

Will my plastics for the wings fit the 2004 wings?

Will my repeater light bulbs fit the oval ones?

Thanks...

I would say yes.i think the hole in the wing for the side repeater is the same, just a different shape unit.
Not 100% sure on the wheel arches as the later ones don't have the full trim that covers the bottom part of wing but it will only be a couple of holes that will need putting in.

Thanks, there are a pair of blue wings in good condition, would need them to be sprayed red is that straight forward?

As said, my T2 is 2001 and these wings are from a 2004.

See attached..

They will go straight on no problem. Even got the full arch trim so the holes for yours will line up :thumb2
As for spraying them is it not something you could do yourself??

I just wanted to know if it would be a bit of a bar stool to cover dark blue to get to red...

Right, fingers crossed the wings will be here later next week. How easy/hard are they to fit?

I am just about to do a search and look at the downloads for further enlightenment :augie

Sadly nothing in the workshop downloads about front wing replacement :(

Easy to fit barring sheared bolts, most likely ones will be near the cill, whole front end has to come off but not a bad job, yes you can buy canned spray paint to your match and finish with lacquer, I did mine in the open air but as evening cam on it dulled the gloss, so do it in a heated space and finish should be good Rick

Just had a look on the www and nothing about front wing removal/fitting. I am going to just wing it, spray all bolts etc with penetrating oil. When you say "whole front end has to come off" what do you mean... grille/bumper, lights?

If someone who has done it could give a walkthrough, that would be great:thumbs Pictures would be a bigger bonus :bow

yep the lot has to come off but easy, sorry but my connection is failing not sure if this will go, Rick

Yep, got it OK Rick.

I am just waiting for the flood of information from others ;) :augie

So Banshee, I have looked at your project thread. Looks like you got the wing off without removing the bumper/headlights....

No I did take the headlight and indicator out and that's how I broke the clips :doh :lol

Can't remember much of it, as it was a while ago now, was pretty simple once you get round to doing it, plenty penetrating fluid on the bolt on the sill and be careful not to fold the wing when removing, I remember offering the top lip of the wing ito position and the rest kind of just pops into place then.

Be careful not to rip the indicator wire off too  Just needs to be unclipped, while the wings are off, make sure you clear all the mud and other crud that is stuck under there, you'll see what I'm talking about, looking back now I wish I'd have got the other one off and hammeritted underneath or Waxoyled :doh
