Not sure if this is the right section but here goes nothing....

Why do my windscreen wipers screen at me when I use them it drives me mad.. In fact so mad I sometimes stick my head out of the window with goggles on rather than turn them on!! :lol

it will be the rubber on the blades, and the screen. you can try giving the screen a good clean with some polish (glass polish like T cut for glass, that's what I use) or simply change the blades for some decent quality ones...

hi, it is probably the bearing on the shaft that the wiper arm fits on. Quick fix, remove arms pull off the two covers and let something like engine oil trickle down the shaft. Slow fix, take the bearings out and grease them.

The noise does drive you mad, I changed my wipers but the squeak was still there but lubricating the shafts cured it.

the plastic/nylon bushes wear on the wiper arm shaft, to test fold the arm back off of the screen and then at 90 deg to the arm pivot rock the arm back and forth (to move the spindle toward the windscreen then to the bonnet) more than a couple of mm and they are foofed, when the arm rubs the top edge of the bonnet they are double foofed, Rick

I had exactly the same problem, changed the blades as it really sounded like it was the blade squeeling and it still did it, I oiled the shaft and it totally disappeard. It was annoying me so bad I wa taking my car to work when it rained instead of listening to that for a hour...

the nylon bushes on mine are knackered, does anyone know where i can get some from? iv checked ebay but couldnt find them.

well I would drill them out and make my own but failing that the stealers, unless cncfabs has some, Rick

Mine was goosed and I got a price from Nissan and was shocked, can't remember if it was forty odd quid. A bit expensive for a bit of plastic with three bolts sticking out of it. I drilled it out in the lathe and made a new nylon insert and pressed it in. Works perfect.

On the subject of wipers, does anyone know where to get an "aero" style blade for the rear window? Everywhere I go doesn't stock them, staff always say we don't stock wipers that small
