Well then??? Why did you get a terrano/maverick and what do you like about it?? I got one because my dad has had a few mavericks and I wanted to carry on running them. Plus I like the practically and looks of them. But I love the loud roar of the 2.7td:thumb2

I got one 'cause it was so cheap compared to a landie. I wanted to go offroading and found these trucks amazingly good for an IFS.
Often Ps all over discos and 110s :thumbs:naughty
Luv it's power and light weight Oh and I can steer it with the window closed:lol

not got one anymore but have had three,r3m,mistral,maverick and all for one reason that 2.7 lump better than the 2.8td isuzus i tried for a while !

Fairly cheap new parts & Lots of 2nd hand parts about.

Not too small, Not too big (SWB). As pete says cheap compared to a landrover. Which I was looking for before reading about mavs/terranos.

Plenty of power.

well i wanted a disco, ok less said about that the better, the mrs wanted a shogun.
the terrano was joint 2nd choice so a nice compromise.

the discos we could afford series 1 as it were didnt fancy rear sidewards seats and
build(lack of ) quality. shogun wary of cost of parts exact opposites really.

got to know the t2, learnt of lsd , bullet proof 2.7 and jumped in never looked back.

4 happy years, no green flag call outs, never failed to start, only cost me a 'stat.
still have it now except some plonker wrote it off, so got troll.

would have another r20 tomorrow, as second car to troll, or even go back to t2.

We have always had 4x4s (caravans, horses, etc.) and usually have more than one knocking around, I bought the first one (the original PLANK) as i have never had one and it came along at the right price, it was a right load of trouble and i soon wished I'd never bough it. We have had another 5 since :augie

After pootling about in Skylines for 10 years and spending a significantly insane amount of money, the money ran out, the toy had to go, and I couldn't get any other coupe because I'd have a GT-R moment and kill myself.

Sat down and thought about cars I'd liked, and me mate's petrol T2 was the only winner. So I took a train to Denham Market in Norfolk, drove one, bought it on the spot after haggling a few hundred off, trundled it 167 miles home on a Friday rush hour.

I am happier in me T2 than I ever was in the GTR. Go figure. Although I do miss the face-melting acceleration sometimes. Usually when some Audi or BMW owner is being a dweeb in front of me.
