get a big box and post me some of that snow :jesterbg

Haha just seen a defender pulling a light animal trailor struggling to get up a small hill. It had to be pushed!

I just pulled a car and a large van (full of tyres) up it without problems.

Sadly I forgot the camera so no pics.

:jump:jesterbg:popcrn

Also been told a frontera went off the road with its tail now in the air, Going to look and take pics.

Cant see the G.C being as fun, it has the LSD at the rear... but also permenent drive to the front! Wheres the fun in that!!!! :(

i have snow, 1cm. little diesel and no 4wd in the red one

so i shall be out later.

Went to see that frontera took a few pics. He was comming from the corner it was pretty slippy hard snow. My mate went down in the tractor and couldn't get him out without risking it.

I helped 4 people in total today.

This has bfg mud terrains, I doubt the back 2 will last long. don't even need a jack.

Half a tank of fuel, brand new battery fitted so I am ready :D

we're into the 3rd day of snow on the ground but nothing exciting :nenau

Mind you the bloke in the merc who thought 20mph on the back road (wide and clear normally 60mph)was ok, seemed a bit worried wasnt een any snow laid on the road , what'll he be like when winter comes :D

In West Midlands and Staffordshire we are supposed to have blizzards on Tuesday. :nenau

Can I wait till then?

Where is the snow in mid Wales then?

None yet in the Peak District.... I've now taxed & insured the old girl. So we're ready for it!

Thinking about fitting some Insa turbo ATs.. Any opinions?

A bit in Chester sometime this afternoon.
B&Q carpark was fun if you wanted to play but I don't think the fella on a scooter thought so.

few flakes here today , but it didnt settle ...... bluddie cold though , was 1 degree c today

Great pics there but a useful reminder that in snow, 4WD is NOT a panacea. As the Sun Visor God says, engage 4WD and drive as if you had 2WD...the idea is it should then keep you out of trouble.

When its icy (and the snow here has frozen solid) you are not an awful lot better off than a FWD car frankly much of the time, especially on hills....the only way to get traction on such stuff is with chains or studs, so don't go driving like a looney and think you'll get away with it!

And mud tyres are next to useless in frozen conditions.....bugger all contact...great for wet snow though.
