So me and the missus were driving through some v dark country lanes with no street lamps, there is a particularly long straight section in the middle, naturally I turned my roof lights, off due to am oncoming car, arsehole coming the other way decided to keep his fulls on, blinding me, gave him a half second flash of the old spots thinking that would work, donut still had no idea, so :augie

On came the spot lights, then he turned off his full beams :augie

tell you off, no way, but I would have stopped, had a similar instance on Sunday driver parked facing me on the nearside still got his head lights on (why) I gave him full beam for over 300 mtrs, till I turned left just before him he did not get the message, what a plonker, Rick

happens all the time here on the country lanes and then you get them fookin stupid HID things :jerkit: really boils my p1$$

I got told off on here last time I did this:confused:
If some one dazzles me they will get my full fury:sly

I've done the same many times Alex but for me they turned them off

:lol:lol i remember that day, you were like a naughty school kid :lol

Trying to justify it :thumbs

We all knew you were right though :p

:lol:lol I have a foot switch to disconnect the roof lights from the main beam, so when I get a numpty on full beam, I hit the foot switch, and give a quick flash of my High beams, which still have the big spots in the bull bar come on with them. I figure that is enough warning, and hit the foot switch again, so the next time I have full power available should I need to flash again. To be fair, I have probably only ever used the lot a couple of times, and have never actually flicked them on, just flashed them, as that seems to be the reminder they need!!!:lol

they were new lights:lol was waiting for the right offender:lol

my opinion is that if anyone deliberately drives at you with full beam / spot lights on full etc , then they don't deserve to be on the road ...... I will sit back and wait the abuse now .

This thread has reminded me that my LED work lights are currently turned off at the deadswitch behind the front grill :doh

Don't think anything says "stop being a prat to other road users" quite as well as a flash from an extra set, or sets, of lights :sly :thumbs

no I cant critisise, i do generally agree with this rule of thumb, but when someone blinds you and wont flick down, even with a subtle hint I think they deserve a wake up :augie
