i have a 2000 2.7 t2 and the tyres im looking at are kumho's going on some shogun aftermarket alloys with a wider offset any advice would be welcome

If you're going to be doing some offroading, as you suggested to me before, I'd be looking at 265/75/16s . Get that diff out the mud , and help keep your sills clear on break backs :thumb2 (not the mountain type )

thanks got to see my tyre guy for prices them go from there

235/85s on a 16 works out about 31.7 " So would need the mud flaps off and maybe a slap or two with a hammer on the inner wing flanges :thumbs
265/75/16 is a tad smaller by all of .1 " :thumb2
The reality is that most tyres are smaller than the figures suggest.
Ginge was talking about lifting the suspension and a body lift. So he could easily go to 33s with no trimming at all.
I ran mine on 31s with no probs after mud flaps were off. Now run 305/70/16s and plenty of room :naughty
