235/85s on a 16 works out about 31.7 " So would need the mud flaps off and maybe a slap or two with a hammer on the inner wing flanges :thumbs
265/75/16 is a tad smaller by all of .1 " :thumb2
The reality is that most tyres are smaller than the figures suggest.
Ginge was talking about lifting the suspension and a body lift. So he could easily go to 33s with no trimming at all.
I ran mine on 31s with no probs after mud flaps were off. Now run 305/70/16s and plenty of room :naughty
