its a filler level plug so from the side.

Being a Friday, I thought this could be an interesting thread....:naughty

Anyway, back to lubrication issues....

I would use the filler plug as this helps you determine the correct level, not all the oil comes out, and you could end up overfilling it.

First check you can undo the filler plug, before the drain plug, so you are not stranded....1/2" socket wrench end will do the trick.
