Hi Guys,
Gotta put a new clutch on my '05 Terrano 2.7tdi as it is slipping in 3rd, 4th and 5th now.
Looking at a Borg & Beck HK6747 3 piece kit for £127.00
I've checked compatibility and seems right, does anyone know of a better option, only planning to do this once so dont mind spending a bit more for a better option.
Any advice much appreciated!
Thanks in advance

I have now found a stage 1 clutch kit from drivetorque for £218
Anyone had any experience with these?

Looks expensive, standard clutch is plenty good enough last one I bought was I think around £120, Rick

That's great, think I'll go with the standard as no point shelling out extra p for little benefit.
On another topic does anyone have knowledge of the power chips that attach to the maf/map sensors? Can't find much about them online and am in debate with my son as to there effectiveness.
I'm not convinced but need back up!

If you are experiencing lack of power very low down In the rev range then it might be worth getting one, but if not don't bother. I tried one a while ago, but because my maf was in pretty good shape and my truck drove ok when I tried turning the amp up it just went into limp mode.

Hold your horses matey!!!!! :sly

You can fit a 3 litre clutch to your 2.7 if you like, there was a nice size difference and you really can feel it bite better :naughty

I used a Borg & Beck HK2275 for the 3.0 ZD30, I did a very in depth guide on the entire clutch swap which I did on the drive with trolley jacks, the picture links are broken at the moment but I'm in the process of fixing them, here's the link;

Yes a MAF amp does work, I had one on my off road motor but removed it cos broke too many front shafts, basically it over fuels at low revs, Rayf who made a batch is no longer making them but some body may have one that they want to sell, Rick

Thank you for the great replies.
I looked into the tunit2 and a couple off e-bert and can see they work but will hold fire until clutch is done. Mine runs well so not in a hurry to spend on it yet but can't help but 'tinker'.
Cheers
