When i worked for nissan when the terrano first came out it was built in spain by nissan motor iberica. Besides the terrano they built trols but before that they built a bloody terrible truck called an ebro.

They did a van too, this was the model that seemed to be imported into the uk. Hated the fische to look up the bits. It was as bad as the cherry europe that was a joint project between nissan and alfa, think they took the worst of each manufacturer.

Mine's gone full circle - built in Barcelona in 1994, sent to the UK, used there for 14 years, now it's back in Spain a couple of hundred miles from where it started it's life, probably as a truck load of recycled baked bean tins )
