I hope I'm in the right forum :nenau

My Terrano didn't come with the locking wheelnut key and I need to get new tyres, so I guess I'll need to get a new set of locking wheelnuts. Any suggestions of where to get them and what I need to get? Is Ebay ok? Thanks!

I've had a similar issue - the problem is getting the old locking wheel nuts off without the adaptor. Some tyre places have a selection of different adaptors and may be able to get them off for you, you will then have to buy another complete set of locking nuts with an adaptor, or as I did, use a large chisel and a lump hammer to loosen them, then simply replace them with ordinary nuts (you should be able to get four nuts, or five if your spare has a locking nut, from a breaker on eBay for next to nothing).
If you decide to buy a new set of locking nuts, make sure they are M12 x 1.25 pitch (some are 1.5 pitch), and they have the correct angle to fit the hole in the wheel.

Have you searched in all the right places? :nenau

Glove box, obvious choice.

Tool kit, this contains the wheel brace, and is under the rear off side seat.
It may have rolled under the front seats, or at the side of them.

There is a jack in the rear nearside boot area, a previous owner may have dropped it in there, you may need a torch and a mirror.

After all you need the wheel locking nut in the car all the time :doh

Worth a look, but you have probably looked everywhere anyway.

Best regards, Rustic

How long have you had this car? This should have done on day 2 of ownership. Punctures do happen.
Take it to a large non- brand tyre depot. Shed a few crocodiles and plead. You will be amazed how easy these things unlock. David
