Due to some extreme muppetry on my part I find myself need to replace all 6 wheel studs on my NSR hub. My local motor factors don't seem to stock anything.

I've measure them as 44.5mm long with a 17.5mm 'head'. Bolt diameter is 12mm (seems obvs). I can't see any splines but I guess they are there in the hub.

Can anyone confirm a part number/link for these beasties? Or are wheel studs suitably generic if you get the length right?

Also, what kind of a job is it replacing them.

In my experience they are pretty generic, I bought a pack from a stall at the Enfield Pageant some years ago to replace a couple on my Brian James car trailer and am pretty sure they fit the T2, I will see if I can find them and check, Rick

I have some in stock mate in my spares cabinet.

I can send you some pictures and also a video of how to remove should you want them.

Drop me a PM and I'll sort you a price  :thumbs

Hi all,
I'm afraid my woes continue. The studs Banshee sent me turned out to be too short. They were 35mm long when mine are 44. No biggie Zac. Will teach me to measure twice, cut once. Trouble is, the garage can't find replacements (well, Nissan drew a blank).

Milner Off Road claim to have them but they don't list a length so am cautious (I've emailed them in the hope they will measuer them for me).

These look the job but I can't find anyone with them in stock:

Any advice gratefully receieved.

I'm sorry to hear they weren't the right ones mate, have you got a picture of them showing the difference in length? I didn't even know there were different lengths.

The ones I sent you were from a hub that was labelled up as a 2003 LWB Manual :nenau

These are the studs that I pressed out of the hub for you, would be interested to see one of these next to one of yours

Fronts are longer than the rears if i remember correctly.
Been a while since i changed any but that sticks in my mind.

This was deffo a front hub, I had to remove the bearings and lock nuts etc to get it off the rest of the knucle etc

For my 2 penarth I think the rears will be longer than the fronts as the fronts only have to go through the hub and wheel, but rears have hub, brake drum and wheel, Rick

Now you say that it rings a bell:thumb2
I had to change a rear stud some years back and I'm sure i bought studs that were listed for a subaru as they are the same pitch and length.

Ah balls!!!!

I didn't realise that was the case and re-reading the original post, he has said that they are for the NSR, (near side rear).

I'm going to have to have a look around in the garage to see what I've got knocking around but I'm not 100% that I'll have any :doh

Hi everyone,

been a busy few days. Apologies for not getting back sooner.

Well, fingers crossed I've bought the right ones from Milner. They say they are the right ones but given they provide no specs at all, I have to wait and see. They are with the garage.

The rear ones are 44mm long (44.3 i think to be precise) and have a short unthreaded bit where I guess the drum sits.

I guess these beasties are rarely replaced on any vehicle as the details for the studs I found online were scant. Length, size and thread pitch if you were lucky. Dia at the splined part, length of splined part, dia on unthreaded parts, length of unthreaded part, etc never specified. If there was better turn over of these parts (and therefore returns) I guess more detail would be provided. I did find some 63mm long motorsport jobbies that might of worked if cut to length.

This is what I bought:

These badgers seem to unavailabe in the UK https://www.onlinecarparts.co.uk/febest-17979014.html

For the benefit of anyone else stumbling on this thread, here are some other part numbers worth a google:

Just found some here :)
