where to buy clutch from?

stands a good chance im going to need a full clutch kit for my T2, can anyone recommend where to purchase from, im in Staffordshire. futher to this whats it like to do the job, im hearin stories that it can be a pig of a job to do;

You could get one from Nissan as i've heard the price is good 8O I think OEC do a heavy dutie clutch but not sure on the price. As for doing the job i'm after the same info as it looks as if my g/box has gone so might end up doing the clutch at the same time

suprised me there Sweety, last placei thought anyone would say to get a kit from would be Nissan, but if you heard the price is good ill check it out. if you find any info on doing the job or of any members that have done please letme know. have asked a couple of times but a bit light on answers.

the clutch is abit a pig to do mainly due to the weight and bulk of it with the transfer box being bolted to it,u get 7.1 hours to change a clutch and thats in a workshop with ramp and air tools etc just to give u an idea.

have you thought of using milner's (www.milneroffroad.com) £130 for a clutch kit and they deliver next day. i've used them quite a bit and have always had a brilliant service. just had about 25 kg's of stuff delivered for £10 next day service :smile: (plus cost of parts)

the only technical bit is the torsion bars ,the rest is pretty straightforward
spanner stuff ,took me about 8 hrs with garage facilities,oh and3 blokes to lift it in while i aligned it!!! not a bad days work for £250-£300.

well just for the hell of it thought ide ring a clutch fitting specialist garage, was expecting a ridiculous price, but was very pleasantly suprised. quoted supply and fit a full clutch with a 2 year guarantee for £300, tha includes picking the t2 up and transporting it to their place. What do you think?

thats what i thought, sounds like a nightmare of a job, going to book it in tomorrow. than maybe just maybe might be able to enjoy my t2! aint been the best of starts.
