I'm sure Zippy will find something in the manual but TBH, if you have to stand on the wheel wrench to undo them, they're too tight. So as tight as you can get them by hand without lifting the thing off the ground is fine!

Always worth checking after they've been to the tyre place as they are often slapdash.:doh

That looks very similar to where I used to live in Dublin, fine example of how we Irish will use our initiative to help solve a problem and help a neighbour at the same time. Probably better to have him in a trolley rather than staggering out in front of a car. LOL

Or this link will help you convert to lbs/ft (old money that I understand - I mean how much does a Newton weigh for gods sake??), in this case 98 lbs/ft, so the equivalent of exerting 98lbs of pressure at the end of a foot-long wrench. In reality, thats as stated...firmly hand-tight with a standard wheel brace and NOT stood on to tighten.

For example, if a ten-stone weakling stood on the end of the wrench thats 140 lbs/ft straight off....for 15 stone its more like 210 lbs/ft or more than TWICE whats recommended.

done today... and everything back to steady eddie!!!

need to get myself an adjustable torque wrench now so i can do it myself again in the future, without borrowing one.:clap
