Hello peeps

I have spent 30 mins this morning tightening the nut on the wheel bearing, I have taken the car on a short journey to test and all seems well at 50 - 60 MPH, the only thing i did notice after tightening the bearings was that there was a lot of side play from the wheel, which seemed to be coming from the direction of the steering rack.
- Please someone tell me it's not the steering rack that needs changing  (and be serious when you tell me  :?: )

hopefully if its comming from rack its the track rod ends easily changes and cheap in comparison to rack, coud it be the ball joints aswell

A few people (myself included) have recently had issues with the idler/pitman arm (opposite side to the steering box), these are just over £40 from Milners but well over £100 from dealers.

Common with most 4x4s there is no steering rack, these trucks use a steering box with idler, drag link and 2 track rods, there ae 6 ball joints all told plus the 2 picots (steering box and idler) so theres plenty of scope for slack.

I have locked this as we have 2 threads running on the same subject.
Please be careful that you are not posting twice on the same subject.

Thanks
