I've got a noise coming from front nearside wheel when turning right ,do you think bearing. If so how easy a fix ?

Off roading on sunday and took the car down a bit of a drop :O)

Probably not the best thing to do with the mot coming up ;O(

Is there a link showing how somewhere

No matter how hard you drop a wheel should not have any effect on a bearing, more likely something to do with the auto locking hubs, or crap in a split drive shaft boot, Rick

Thanks both, will go the crap route first as there was a lot of that.

Will also engage/disengage hubs a few times see if that clears it.

If you have auto hubs and they are disengaged then the CV joints shouldn't make any noise, as they are not rotating, only rocking side to side.

Usually knocks on full lock is steering stops, grease them.

If it's the bearing, jack up front wheel there should be no play. ( or very little)
Could be upper lower ball joint or more likely the front anti roll bar links.

Rock the car side to side if you hear a clunk it's the arb link.
Hope this helps.

Had a look today and one of the brake pads has broken and the disc is heavily scored so two new discs and new pads now in the boot waiting to go on also two ARB links.

This will be the third set of discs I've fitted so thats four sets from new, mileage is now nearly 144k, don't know if that good or bad.

Still on the original rear shoes ;O)
