Hi guys can anyone please confirm which lock ring goes on first please. The one on the left or the one on the right. To me the one on the left goes on last, this thread so that it screws on to the stub axle to tighten the bearing up. It is also counter sunk for the screws.

If nobody has an answered before I get to my fathers, when I get there I will pull a hub off and take some pics mate :thumb2

The left goes on first. The right one is the one you put the screws through into the threaded holes behind (the left ring)

The ring sits in the cutouts that the screw driver is pointing at and the two locking screws go in tge recessed holes :thumb2 yours and blockys may look different though but they operate the same.

Cheers guys. Now I've seen Tdougs photo as well I've realised that it's another difference between early and late models. The outer ring is slightly different.

Err no for fixed hubs the drive hub goes on first then the circlip on the outer groove and then the knock on dome, the inner grove is for free running hubs Rick

Not grooves, cut outs to stop the bearing locking ring from spinning round, one at either side.
