mine never goes on a long run on it's own, it is generally towing soehting or other too :thumb2

23mpg consistently, hence the 'moneypit'!
The cold weather has brought to light that my thermostat is stuck open so things might improve next week once I fix that!

some people get better from running on vegi oil, personally, i wouldn't touch the stuff!

40?? Wow. Big diference between 2.7 and 3litre

what a whole 8mpg diff where u could run the old 2.7 on svo round about 96p a litre and that works out roughly 42mpg cost wise not the amount of fuel if that makes senses

And if you look around the wonderful economy of the 3.0 is largely mythical, Nissan's own figures and UK government figures say the two engine have pretty much the same MPG. Bu lots of things can affect MPG : headwind, tailwind, fuel quality, inclines on roads, driving style, tyres fitted, tyre circumference etc. etc.

That is without mentioning, the accuracy of the forecourt fuel pump (which can be 5% out by law) and the method used to calculate mileage.

Most of the 3.0s seem to be running on 17 inch rims this could be the main difference - the same speedo and a slightly different tyre size giving a different MPG figure :nenau

So that means the 2.7 will do around the mid 20's then, Hmm :augie:augie

I'm just glad I have a Terry for the winter, these are fantastic in the snow :lol

27 on stock mechanics and standard 235s on 15" rims, 2.4i using Sainsbury's Premium.

Done on M25/M1 a couple of weeks ago.
