I suspect its the rear diff breather though GB; I have exactly the same length of pipe under the bonnet going down to my front diff...

im with you.. dont look quite right beeing the washer pipe cover.

What does the rear diff breather do? THe tube just seems to fall into nothing..

when in deep water the dif is cooled so would suck warter and dirt into it, the breather lets it suck in dry clean air.

If you look under the bonnet, the diff is down and to the right, you should see a similar pipe coming off that - it can emerge either side of the engine upstairs mine isn't connected to owt and flaps about in the breeze!

Have u sorted the pipe out yet if not

Do you have sun Roof looks more like a roof drain than the washer feed pipe
may account for the water in the boot as well
