Just wondering if worst comes to the worst on the 2.7 tdi what would be needed to be done to change the pump on the engine that supplies the injectors with diesel ie is it a case of unbolt and swap or is it needed timed up coded etc or could you fit one straight of anouther terrano

it will fit straight on, no code probs but will need timing up, it is in the WS manual, and sounds straight forward but as have not actually done it so cannot say for sure, but you will need a dial gauge and a means of mounting it to do the measuring, but they are cheap from the likes of Machine Mart, but what is wrong with yours? Rick

It's dripping a little diesel not looked closely yet as hopeing it's a leak of pipe it looks damp around the top of the pump

so have a look at my recent post on resealing your pump while its still on the car a simple fix and cost pounds for a reseal kit

yep change the 2 top seals a very simple thing todo by far the easiest ones of the 3 that can leako

Looks like it could be the stop solenoid as soaked around it

yeah i thought that to with mine but that hatdly ever leaks its usually the qa housing and top seal leaking down onto it but even if it is their is a new seal in the kit and easy to replace

I fear this is something I might need to do soon the amount of Veg mine eats

You don't happen to have a link or contact and ruff cost do you to buy it not asking much lol

Thank you will get it done ASAP

so this is very important the top cover is easy the larger QA housing is also very simple but you must mark it i tried to show it marked with yellow paint but they didnt come once i coverted it to pdf, the QA housing must be perfectly aligned basically go back in the exact same place or your engine will run ruff, lumpy etc

good luck it really is an easy fix

So when you say mark it mark it on one corner so that goes back to same bolt hole or mark the whole cover so it sits exactly where it's bolted to when put back together

yes mark it on 3 sides if you can it must go back exactly in the same place it will run lumpy if it doesnt simple to cure you just loosen it and move it a fraction but then you mite do that 3 or more times

Ok no problems is the kit easy to find on the net or do I need to go to a bosh diesel place for it
