Ok so upon recently getting insured on my maverick and getting her on the road, I proceeded to rip out the front spotlights connected to the headlights as they had rusted beyond repair. I taped the wiring up and left it in place for the time being. Now I put some new bulbs in the headlights and noticed that the left hand headlight would either work and cause both headlights to come on with the sidelights OR with a tap it would stop working and cause the other headlight to come on only when switch to low beam (as it should) anyway yesterday I disconnected the old wiring for the spotlights, found that the left headlight had a wire that was barely holding together due to be connected to spotlights in a bad way. I repaired this join to ensure a secure connection. The headlight works but is still coming on with the sidelights and causing the other side to do the same.
I'm left confused, but I'm sure someone knows what's up.

Thanks guys,

TC

both head lights come on dim when i ignition is on an the switch is set for side lights, if the ignition is off, then it's just the side lights that are on

I had a feeling someone would say that! Working as it should then! Thanks again. On a different note do you know if there are any fog lights on the market that will be the correct size to replace the originals? Mine are in a bad way.
As you do seem to be the master of light upgrades. :)
