Theres a 5:1 safety factor from SWL to breaking strain on metal lifting gear so 4.75T is fine.

I use 2 x 3.25T on the rear as they fit through the recovery point holes, and use a bridle. At the front I put the loop of the strap straight over the pigtail so don't use a shackle and I avoid joining straps with shackles when using more than one by looping them together and inserting a length of wood or similar in the midle so you can get the know undone afterwards. The less the number of parts in the system the less there is to break, and shackles can explode if they break, straps snap, and don't produce shrapnel.
