What the hell is this about?

Well I hope they are in the AA if it wouldn't start tomorrow..

Sounds like the switch part of the ignition switch is faulty, they normally fail so you can't start, this is different :nenau.

You may find that other items are also left on, which could flatten the battery.

yep part of the switch contacts have shall we say "come loose" be care full it may jam up, but from what others have said the switch part is only about £30 from Nissan, Rick

might be a idea to disconnect the battery overnight , but this may cause havoc with the immobilisor /alarm in the morning .... i dunno:nenau
