The model of Jeep I have is a WK2, but when doing searches online looking for bits and bobs, I keep getting results for old military paraphernalia.

When I looked a bit deeper, it seems that a lot of sites, when referring to World War 2, use WW2, WWII, and WK2. Some even seem to use WK2 on it's own to reference army stuff. Anyone know what it stands for, and why they are using it? I have done a bit of searching on Google, but can't find anything explaining what WK2 actually means.

Google wide spread searching

I think it's typical of Google coming up with the most popular nearest fit for the search string.

Pretty sure if you add Jeep Grand Cherokee WK2 as well the search will be more specific.

Ahhh, sorry, I know that, but having found this wk2 link to the war, I was just wondering what it was.

Still can't see anywhere on there that says what the "wk" actually stands for. World killing?

The heading in the link does say "Zweiten Weltkreig" they say second world war rather than world War Two.

It appears that compound nouns can be abbreviated to Wk2 as Zweiten is from the German for two - Zwei.

No jobs for us at Bletchley Park. lol

It's Time share... fortunately, they are so good, they have a flux capacitor, so just as long as we don't bump into each other, which could upset the space/time continuum, we are fine... :augie

If you scroll down the page and click some of the links it's quite interesting methinks.
The Cyanide capsule is much bigger than I imagined !

They don't work as quick as they do in the movies either, quite an unpleasant death by all accounts!

You are close as I recall Stephen Hawking in his book "A Brief History of Time" explained it with an analogy to Light Cones so if the Flux Capacitor is Cone shaped it's sorted!
