Passenger side, under the bonnet, at the front, there's a big space. It's big enough for another battery, I keep my tools there when I'm working on the car.

What's in yours ?

yep thats what its for, I think some one was going to find some barttery yrats that fitted in there, cant remember who at the mo though

isnt that space for models that had ABS? i dunno...On Jims (JIms-Terrano) hes got parts in there and im sure he said it was ABS...

as for me though, its just an empty space...

Air when clean (not often :naughty)

Mud most other times :augie

The ABS unit is on inner wing just in front of the bulkhead at back of engine bay.

The big space at the front of the NS Inner wing is for battery and yes it is Trex that seels the bracket and clamps for that space. I've got AC so the pipes get in the way of a matching battery. I'd love to fit a second battery in there but NFU tell me it's a mod and they wouldn't insure me unless I had it fitted by a pro. Daft really because I could do and would do a better job on my own car than anyone else working on it if you know what I mean.

when i had my t2 was toying with mounting a plastic battery box,
like you get from towsure. so could mount a leisure battery on
touring trips and then charge it on days out from the caravan
if on a non mains hook up site.

other times would make a secure storage box for tools and stuff
as the trucks do have fairly limited boot space for such in 7 seat
mode. the other option was one of the blown plastic slim tool boxes
under the fron seats.

tbh could do same with troll, but what stopped me was the issues
with insurance of adding a second battery, ironic as far safer to
have 2nd battery under bonnet than strapped down? in boot...

ive abs.. and air con.. still loads of space for a second battery

I ended up with a spare main battery for the T2, it's about half inch too wide to fit with the AC pipes. A smaller battery would be spot on but that would cost where this battery is free cos I've already got it.

As RBRT says about carrying the battery, mine's now just stuck in a plastic box and fit's where ever it gets stuck when I need it.

Why do these companies have so much control over us when it's our cars and we live in a free country (not):nenau
