Life of a plumber, Rick
good selection of chocs and smellies. bit of cash, oh and a Baofeng UV-5R....
Brilliant.... Tell me more.... How much did you have to cut out? How did you fix it in place?
I have still not got Suz's Christmas Pressie yet, as I have been looking at the Single Din flip out units, and the choice is severely limited. The one I have been looking at is the Pioneer AVH-Z7000DAB, but it creates all sorts of issues that I am struggling to come up with answers for...
What did you do with the Hazard Light Switch? I was thinking of moving Suz's to the top of the steering column.
I have 2 of those, what are you using your one for??
It was easy if you look at the first pic i had to cut the cross bar that held the hazard switch and cut out the same on the console that leaves you with a nice square hole and acres of room behind the dash. Then I just used the brackets that came with the radio and I just put the centre console back on and the 2 screws that hold it either side also hold the radio. I need to fit my reverse camera when it arrives so I'll take some more pics if you want the radio is an xtrons TD623DAB. I measured it up first so I knew it would fit.
Enrolling on Foundation course with local radio club, whilst don't need one before being licenced bit of fun listening in.
Nice... is it actually 2DIN, or a specific size?
Its a double din but I measured because i knew if It needed a cage it wouldn't fit.
Ahhh right.. I would be very interested to know how you get on with it, and what you think of it as time goes on. It's a mine field when you start looking at all the ones available.Nice... is it actually 2DIN, or a specific size?
