it's a while ago now, but the shop I bought a gun from said there wasn't a law against walking down the road with a gun but the police don't like it.
When I say a while ago it was long before all these terrorist thingies, more the IRA back then.
I would still say it wasn't a very good idea all the same.

You know, im not sure. Due to the fact mine is licenced i can carry it in town on a Saturday afternoon if i wanted too. I can shoot from a foot path (But not towards one)

i'm sure the law says something about not shooting within 50 feet of a road!

but it' s been a while since i had a reason to check.

Your right it does, BUT only for Air rifels. Shotguns do not come under the same law. Crazy but true.

Any young boy who has had an air rifel and plinks away on his back garden will posibley be breaking the law as he is not 50 feet away from the road.:doh

I think the farmers .243 probably trumps your shotguns, pump action or not. :D

LOL, it would not matter, the way i shoot, he could have a walking stick and still trump me. I scare more things than i shoot!:lol

You heard the saying, Barn door at 10 feet. I could be in the barn and still miss it.:doh
