WHAT A WAST OF TIME ABINGDON 4X4 SHOW WAS!!!!!

DID ANY ONE GO TO THE ABINGDON 4X4 SHOW ?? WHAT A WAST OF TIME. I DROVE 115 MILES TO LOOK AT 12 STALLS !! 2 OF THEM SELLING HANDBAGS AND NICKNACKS!!! THER WAS NO PARTS UNLESS YOU WANTED SOME OLD CHAIN!! IT TOOK 5 MINS TO WALK ROUND. 5 MINS TO HAVE ABIT TO EAT , AND THEN ANOTHER 2 HOURS TO DRIVE HOME, AS I SAID A WAST OF TIME, I'L NOT GO AGAIN !!!!! -banghead- -banghead- -banghead-

A lot of these shows are more landrover orientated than general 4x4s..

Sorry to hear you were dissapointed with it, I tend not to go to shows like this unless they are reasonably close for the reasons you gave.

I do know that one of our membrs attended stayed the night and had a fantastic time on the off road course, he is looking forward to next years.

wast of time

yer the off road course was great.. but the show it's self was not evern landrover based ther were 2 stalls selling exarmy gear, one selling batterys (3) thats all he had! 1 doughnut stand 1 burger stand 1coffe stand 3 air abulance stands 1 glass ( green lane ) tent one bloke selling old chains and that was about it !!! shame but there you go, :!: :!: :!:

I missed a treat then I have been lookig for some old chain for months :lol:

try your local hire center/plant operator there always breaking chains being told by hse no longer safe to use they may have some old bits u could beg!
