Well as the title says, got a wet drivers side foot well, and it didn't happen over night, not that amount of water, just wrung out the sound proofing:eek:
Now my question is this, I've looked at previous topics about sunroof leaks, a panel in the engine bay, sill drains ect, I'm just after a bit more info into these, as
1, the carpet is only wet in the middle near the heal pad:confused:
2, I've cranked up my torsion bars, so maybe sills,
3 I've removed my splash guards and associated crud, and cleaned all my inner wings back,

I'm sort of thinking my sills drain holes are blocked but could someone please advise as to where these are, as I know my sills have been blob welded prior to me buying it, Or maybe i should just get an holesaw and add a few holes along the sill anyway, or anywhere else I may need to have a look at,
Cheers, and much appreciated,
Craig:thumbs

The panel you describe is not in the engine bay, but under the plastic scuttle cover where the windscreen wiper drive exits from. So remove the wiper arms then the cover and you will see the plate on the right hand side, and it is the lower right hand screw that lets the water through, straight into the heater, then onto the carpet.

To help you find it, put a plastic sheet over the floor area, to stop water coming up from the carpet, then place paper kitchen roll over the plastic, and wait and see.

Edit..
The sill holes are clearly on the lower edge, but to find them you need to crawl under and look at the sill from the chassis side, you will see the inner sill has a raised vertical profile appox 1 inch wide, in several places and the drain is at the bottom of this on the lower sill edge.
Use a large plastic cable tie to clear them.

Hope this helps,
Best regards,
Rustic

Right, found my problem, it is that little panel, just need to know what to use now to seal it shut,
I've heard a few people say tigerseal, or something but unfortunately no tigers, or seals in derby, so if someone could recommend something I would be really grateful,
Cheers
