Will I've just come home through a thunder storm to find to boot full lof water again but this time i think i know where it is coming from.

It looks as if it is coming in the vents either side of the rear side windows.

Has anyone else had this and if so what did you do to stop it?

Cheers

Don't know exactly where they route but they are to suck air OUT of the truck.....might be worth looking at the bodywork section of the manual for guidance, but I'd be surprised if they were downward pointing and thus liable to letting water in as that would be too obvious....its not a problem I've come across on my three trucks or much at all on here for that matter?

Where exactly is the water entering? Sure there are no unusual panel or other gaps around the glass/lights anywhere? Or that the water isn't coming in from a completely different source? have you got a sunroof?

rear door seal, try a search and all will be revealed.
Tony
Was on mine.

I think mine was the rear door seal and the water was travelling under the plastic trim. Rubbed some silicon gel around the seal and underneath the trim and so far (touch wood) there's not been any more water in there despite some heavy downpours.

If you are trying to trace the leak back to source you could try dusting the area with something like talcum powder to show the path of the water :thumb2

First efforts would definitely go into the door seal. On mine I was getting a v damp patch around the n/s wheel arch and a bit of dampness by the back door trim. After I'd decided it wasnt the jack russell having a pee.............

I put a lot of effort into taking the trim out and looking for marks rust etc ....none. I'd got the flow of water the wrong direction :doh:doh presumably because of how I'd been parked it was coming in by the door.

Then I thought to do a search on here :doh:clap its as common as :bow

Clean and reset the door seal. Remove and seal under the plastic kick plate. Then grease up (with dow corning silicon o ring grease from flea bay) the door seal and it should be ok :thumbs (mine hasnt leaked again although it took a second go to get the door seal spot on)

touch wood, fingers crossed, pat a black cat whilst standing on one leg etc etc .
