Yerp, tyre will help :D Oh and bin the tow bar for laning days , saves all that ploughing :thumbs

Tow a horsebox so the bar has to stay.
Dunno what had been down before me but they were some deep old ruts lol.

make it quick detachable, cos it is a serious let down for laning, that or get a winch, Rick

Watched your vid and was thinking 'look out, this is a big run up ' [emoji50]
Looked sloppy though. What tyres do you have fitted?

Hello SNH, where is this green lane is it near you?

About 5 mins from my house :thumb2

Tyres are general grabber but there about shot tbh. Once I've fitted the lift spacers I want some 31's for it, hopefully might fare a bit better.
The vid doesn't really do.it justice as they were some deep ruts lol, that deep I couldn't get out of them to try and go round on the higher bits

I had the same experience a few times, on old and worn AT2s. Had new tyres installed (Toyo Open Country A/T), no more problems :)

Still, I know there are a few "rotten" places around here where even tractors tread very carefully. Got to know that after one had to tow my out.

:lol :clap :clap :clap

I love the keep it going until you saw those big ruts, then it was an "erm" kinda moment  :p

Looks like a fun lane :thumb2

"event ML698" :bow :bow

If I'd been with another truck that could've towed me out I'd have gone for it but as it was a spare of the moment thing as I was driving past I thought I'd better not lol.

Whatever else had been down there had been bottoming out so I reckon they were tractor tracks I was in :lol

You done the right thing. I would have switched off the camera driven round to the other end and reversed into the lane and started recording again [emoji51]

Looking at the pic's your tyres are worn a lot & just won't cope with that sort of mud as the gaps between the blocks will fill fast with mud & not clear well. Been through worse mud with new AT2's on & they coped great TBH I personally will bin an AT tyre when it gets to 4mm tread:augie

Yeah, you did good considering.

Get some Event ML698's

Good for road and play :thumb2 and pocket :lol

I'll have a look at them Alex :thumb2

It's not the mud it couldn't cope with it was the size of the ruts and how deep they were lol. If they weren't so deep I'd have gone at it ;)

Tyres aren't great and have never been much kop tbf, I don't rate them and wouldn't buy them again.

Not that I would take my queen along that track...but if I did, I would not have driven in the old ruts, I would have been up on the ridge when it got deep like that.

+1 on that brother, I don't even think mine would tackle that with a bit of lift and AT Tyres on 31's.

Nice lane that, you got a grid ref?

Scratchy though  :(

Also, is at sad that after having a Maverick myself I reckon I know the exact speed you would have been doing there by gear changes and engine tone :sly

They look like LR ruts nasty things as LR's have a wider track & when they start getting deep the poor T2/Mav bottom arms start scraping/digging into the ground i've found so I try & keep out of those ruts if I can by driving about a foot or so to the left or right of a rut

Saw some tasty defenders down it the other week but they were high and had serious tyres on but still judging by the flat bits they must have been bottoming out. They were deeper than they look on the vid.

I did try and get out the ruts but they were that deep it either sent me sideways or kept me going straight on. I did try ;)
