Oh crikey, now it's going to be pictures of you old boys with planks secured to your wheels painted in lurid shades of Hammerite for the next week!

:doh

Very effective though. Will bear it in mind if needed!

How do I post?

How do I post for first time?
Nowhere on this site can I find info on how to post a query, hence this reply/post.
This post is by way of a reply (could think of no other way to ask for) as I've sent message asking for help (no reply) and I've scoured the site and visited FAQs, but all to no avail.
I'm 78 and not very bright, but this is the first forum on which I've been unable to find posting info.
I've just bought a 1996 5 door diesel Maverick with 60,000 miles on clock and I wanted to discuss, sloppy suspension, rust problems and generally find out how to keep it on the road.
I'd appreciate any help I can get.
I'm based in Norfolk.

Hi David
Go to the top left of the screen and select home
Select forum
Pic a topic such as "I'm new here"
At the top of rhe topic will be "new thread"
And away you go
Good luck.

With TROL POWER you can have 2 planks per wheel :D

I'd have thought with the tread on those tyres you could just wedge planks into the spaces all the way round!

Then I suppose you could run a belt round the planks front to rear and hey-presto "TANK POWER"

Hmmm... could work!

:D

I have seen similar attempts with thick rope through the wheel and around the tyre, but the plank idea can give a wider track on untrodden mud.

Anything is worth trying if you are stuck alone...

Oh a quick welcome to David, I hope you can get your posts sorted.
I have a 1995 Maverick, and it is the best vehicle I have ever owned, and I have owned it for over 20 years.
Not had chance to mention that for a while lol..:lol:lol
